Learning – Experience – Integration
Breathwork is becoming an increasingly popular tool for personal growth, resilience, and mental health. Interest in these millennia-old practices is also growing within the scientific community.
The psychedelic renaissance is also gaining widespread attention: increasing research demonstrates the healing potential of substances like psilocybin, LSD, and similar compounds for mental health conditions.
These developments have also led to a boom in breathwork interventions. Breathwork methods such as Conscious Connected Breath, Rebirthing Breathwork, Light Breath, Psychedelic Breath, and Holotropic Breathwork offer substance-free and legal alternatives to classic psychedelics for inducing altered states of consciousness, thereby providing new perspectives in the healing of trauma or depression and potentially leading to improved health and resilience.
Which breathwork methods and techniques yield which effects – regenerative, activating, or consciousness-expanding?
What is currently known about the health benefits and risks of breathwork?
What are the psychological and neurological mechanisms that facilitate transformation through breathwork?
What potential lies in the experience of consciousness-expanding states?
We invite you to the second Berlin Breathwork Days to explore these questions together with our speakers and participants, and to experience them firsthand.
We bring the breathwork community together.
We facilitate knowledge transfer for newcomers and professionals – promoting greater transparency, safety, and guidance.

The Berlin Breathwork Days are initiated by Yasmine Orth of The Lovers & Leaders and organized in cooperation with Prof. Isabel Dziobek from Humboldt University Berlin.
Study
At Humboldt University Berlin, several research projects are currently dedicated to the exciting field of breathwork. The central question is what transformative potential breathwork holds for the treatment of mental illnesses such as depression and trauma – and where potential risks lie.
This complex phenomenon is scientifically examined in three current studies: The RESET study conducts clinical interventions with traumatized patients.– An international survey collects experiential reports from breathwork practitioners worldwide.– And in the innovative HEART study, psychotherapists without prior experience were able to participate in a guided breath journey – followed by a reflection on how breathwork can be utilized in future therapeutic practice.
